Our world-class musicians love to visit the Wood Library and treat the young-at-heart (ages 2 to 102) to their favorite musical instruments, musical stories, and creative musical play. THE STARS ALIGN: Friday, July 16, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Pre-concert chat at 7:15 pm.
Program: Travel to Paris through Germaine Tailleferre’s melodically captivating and boldly rhythmic Piano Trio. Belly-laugh with Isabel Hagen as she seamlessly toggles between gorgeous viola playing and star-quality comedy. End the evening reveling in the stormy, rich lyricism and Hungarian dances of Brahms’ beloved Piano Quartet in g minor, the piece which (in 1862) put the 29-year-old composer in the international musical hall-of-fame, where he sits firmly today. THE MUSIC OF WINE: Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm
Program: Enjoy chamber music exquisitely paired with specially selected wines. Can synergies with music make wine in the glass better? Sipping a wine that complements the music can improve the experience of both. This event will be held in the Ontario County Arts Council Gallery at the Fort Hill Performing Arts Center.
